Through the years, I've spent a lot of time just thinking in images and sound. Words always seemed to get in the way and often still do. Today, as I pass through a more introspective work cycle, I remembered a Flash project I was doing about 6 years ago. I wanted an image sideshow that gave me full scripting to do things like have layers of event triggered audio and image specific durations, fades, zooms etc. Although I basically finished this project, I also introduced so many possibilities of randomness and control that it become almost unusable from a practical standpoint. Still, it had it's merits and I'd love to share one of the last versions I did with a group of images taken on a endless sunset flight from Georgia to California. The images are sort of rough and I never did really get the green out from the airplane glass I was shooting through, but it was monsoon season and the thunder clouds that poked up through cloud layers over New Mexico and Arizona were truly "window sticking". So here it is--just click on the link and it will open in the same window. It's very meditative, so just take a deep breath and take in the view.
Flash Slideshow with layered (not premixed) audio - "Flight 57"Special thanks to
Ed Mann, who I believe created the bulk of the audio for this piece. It was so long ago, but my apologies to Ed for any blatant copyright infringement, it was really only a test and now here it is - oops.
